Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of azurite from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of a striking cluster of rich, royal blue
azurite crystals!!! This specimen is a complete floater rosette of crystals with no point of attachment!!! The
crystals are sharp and lustrous with one area of the specimen having crystals that exhibit a lighter blue color and slightly matte luster!!! Curiously,
many of the crystals in this differently colored region only show this characteristic on selective faces!!! The variety of blue hues
is quite handsome in person!!! This speicmen is in magnificent condition all around and displays gorgeously in 360 degrees!!! The individual
crystals are sharply defined and exhibit some highly complex features!!! If I
didn't know better I would think I was looking at an old Utah azurite, however the specimen has a number of
characteristic and unique features in person!!! Gorgeous classic material from this famed historic locality!!! This specimen came from the collection of Howard Belsky!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
