Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of azurite and malachite from Butte!!! While Butte was a prolific and mineral rich area, examples of azurite and malachite are rather scarce from the region!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of royal blue azurite in association with green malachite, as well as some intensely colored blue-green chrysocolla!!! Upon close inspection, small bladed crystals of azurite can be found in several areas!!! The malachite is present in minor amounts throughout the matrix and in association with the azurite!!! This specimen retains an old label from Earle C. Sullivan as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
