Azurite La Sal District, North Mountain, La Sal Mts, Grand Co., Utah 1.55cm x 1.55cm x 1.26cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An aesthetic example of azurite from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of a pair of complex, conjoined azurite crystals in association with a small amount of malachite!!! The azurite crystals exhibit complex, rosette-like features with sharp, lustrous faces!!! The crystals exhibit particularly bright blue color that is quite striking in person!!! The bright blue color arises partially from some slight alteration to malachite just below the surface in some of the crystals!!! There is also some minor malachite in association in addition to small areas of slight alteration to malachite!!! This specimen is complete all around and in fantastic condition!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
