This specimen consists of an unusually elongated, prismatic crystal of gem azurite perched on a tiny portion of matrix!!! The crystal is complete and undamaged!!! The crystal has sharp, glassy faces and intense deep royal blue color!!! With adequate lighting this specimen's gemmy clarity can be seen in dramatic display!!! The azurite crystals from this seldom referenced locality are usually present as clusters of gemmy prismatic blades, however they are usually somewhat shorth in length, perhaps up to several millimeters at a maximum - however this incredible specimen measures over 2.2cm!!!
