Azurite with Calcite Tsumeb, Namibia 7cm x 6cm x 5.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of azurite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen hosts a pair of thick, chunky azurite crystals prominently perched on a matrix covered calcite crystals!!! The azurite crystals have highly complex habits with razor sharp, glassy faces, gemmy clarity, and rich blue color with lively flashes of royal blue within!!! In addition to the two large azurite crystals, there are numerous smaller crystals present as well!!! The calcite crystals are lustrous and translucent with complexly modified forms!!! The lightly colored calcite crystals provide an aesthetic background for the deeply colored azurite crystals!!! Aside from some minor dings that are not very noticeable, this specimen is in overall terrific condition and displays magnificently in person!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
