Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely gorgeous example of azurite from Tsumeb!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is way, WAY better than these
pictures show!!! This aesthetic specimen consists of a cluster of sharp, lustrous, longated azurite crystals - jutting out
in all directions in association with intensely colored blue-green rosasite and scattered crystals of cerussite!!! The azurite
crystals are terminated and in magnificent condition all around!!! This is a gorgeous Tsumeb beauty in person!!! The
azurite crystals have bright, glassy luster and deep royal blue color!!! The crystals are sharp and have chisel-point terminations!!!
The cerussite crystals are present as highly complex translucent crystals as well as scattered pseudomorphic
crystals that appear to be comprised of two generations of cerussite!!! The rosasite adds striking color to this specimen - and it is
much more dramatic and intense than the pics show!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can
see that there are areas of rosasite that actually show significant crystalization for the species (I have never seen
such good rosasite crystals from Tsumeb!)!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition - save for one missing crystal (which isn't even
noticeable) the azurite crystals are complete and undamaged!!! This specimen is a very aesthetic and showy in person - for
some reason it was nearly impossible to capture with the digital camera!!! The specimen is very colorful and three dimensional!!!
Guaranteed to knock your socks off in person!!!
