Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of this very rare silver bearing species from Nevada!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of silvery-gray balkanite, present as vein of material running through the specimen as well as small scattered masses and grains as well!!! There is a significant, solid mass of balkanite on one lobe of the specimen as well!!! There are a few small areas of galena - present as bright silver cleavage faces as well!!! One area of the specimen has been cut and polished (along the vein) for analytical purposes!!! Simply a magnificent example of this very rare species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
