Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of barite and calcite from South Dakota!!! This specimen hosts a handsome pairing of gemmy barite crystals and translucent yellow calcite crystals!!! The barite crystals have razor-sharp faces with bright glassy luster, and gem clarity!!! The calcite crystals have unusual, highly complex habits with rich yellow color and marked translucence!!! The largest barite crystal measures nearly 2cm!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
