Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent, old time classic example of barite from England!!!
This specimen consists of a sharp, PRISTINE crystal of colorless barite from
this classic locality!!! The crystals have bright, glassy luster, and marked
clarity!!! The crystals have attractive, well defined phantoms and zoned
chalcopyrite inclusions as well!!! However, the most notable feature of
this specimen is its astonishing condition - the termination
is absolutely pristine, with sharply defined, highly lustrous faces!!!
This is an AMAZING specimen indeed!!! This specimen is very bright and
showy in person!!! The specimen retains old unattributed labels in addition to an old label from the Humboldt Museum in Berlin, Germany!!! This museum is known as the largest natural history museum in Germany and its mineral collections it houses date back as far as the Prussian Academy circa 1700!!! The pics don't even come close to capturing just how fine this old time classic beauty is in person!!! Classic material indeed!!!
