A classic example of barite from Arizona!!! this specimen consists of a large, compound crystal of barite!!! The crystal is lustrous and
has numerous parallel terminations!!! The crystal is actually light blue in color at the base and then it gradually turns to golden yellow with
rich brown phantoms!!! A curious color combination for the locality indeed!!!
The crystal is much more complete than it appears in the photos!!! This specimen retains an old Conklin label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
