Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of baryite from Arizona!!! This specimen consists of a sharp baryite crystal that is particularly large for the locality!!! The crystal has sharp, highly lustrous faces and retains a small amount of matrix!!! The crystal has dark color with several attractive features!!! One side of the specimen exhibits a curious veneer-like appearance below its surface - almost resembling a luxurious walnut burl veneer!!! The crystal is quite thick and when viewed from the side, the specimen exhibits a showy network of glittery golden sparkles below its surface!!! Simply a fantastic, old time example of this Arizona classic!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
