Baumstarkite with Miargyrite and Pyrargyrite San Genaro Mine, Castrovirreyna District, Castrovirreyna Province, Huancavelica Department, Peru 2.9cm x 2.88cm x 1.68cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of baumstarkite with miargyrite and pyrargyrite from the type locality in Peru!!! This specimen hosts rounded forms comprised of intergrown platy crystals of baumstarkite that have overtaken what were once likely pyrargyrite crystals on a matrix comprised primarily of intergrown baumstarkite and miargryrite with a small amount of pyrargyrite!!! The bright, metallic crystals of baumstarkite are easily seen throughout the specimen!!! It is difficult to appreciate the complex, rounded forms in the pics, however there is much more crystallization to be seen in person!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
