A terrific example of fluorescent benitoite from this famed locality!!! This specimen hosts a large grouping of highly complex and
etched benitoite crystals on crossite matrix!!! This is not simply a group of damaged benitoite crystals, but rather a very complex mass of
crystalline material!!! There are numerous sharp, highly lustrous faces present as well as complex, somewhat rounded areas
of etched benitoite!!! The crystals have rich color and clarity that ranges from translucent to near gemmy in small areas!!! This specimen
was actually part of a fluorescent minerals collection and, as such, it exhibits intense fluorescence!!! You can witness its intense fluorescence even
if the "regular" lights are still on!!! The pics hardly do this specimen justice!!!
