Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible and unique example of this prized gem species from California!!! This specimen hosts a striking single benitoite crystal with a very rare and unique habit!!! This specimen consists of a crossite and natrolite matrix that hosts a stunningly unique 1cm benitoite crystal in association with a smaller benitoite crystal (also having the same rare habit), a single joaquinite crystal, and an unusual bright yellow crystal of unknown identity!!! The main crystal is sharp, glassy, and gemmy with rich blue color!!! The faces show complex modifications and striations and, although it is difficult to discern in the photo, there are three raised areas that mirror the same unusual habit!!! The crystal is complete and prominently exposed on the matrix!!! This specimen is completely natural and unrepaired!!! The crystal also exhibits intense fluorescence under SW UV, so much so that it even shows a strong fluorescence when the "regular" lights are still on!!!
