A magnificent, old time example of bertrandite from this famous Colorado locale!!! This specimen hosts two prominent groups of parallel
associated bertrandite crystals in association with aquamarine, fluorite, and smoky quartz!!! The bertrandite crystals are complete, undamaged, and
measure up to 1cm!!! The crystals are sharp and have marked luster!!! One of the bertrandite crystals is perched on blue aquamarine while the
other is perched on an octahedral crystal of fluorite!!! The matrix is comprised mainly of smoky quartz with a significant
showing of somewhat altered aquamarine and some small, scattered masses of fluorite!!! There are numerous small vugs throughout the matrix
that may host other small crystals upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!! This is an old time specimen collected
by the legendary mineralogist Arthur Montgomery!!! This specimen retains a detailed museum label card that notes it came from
Arthur Montgomery on December 3, 1938!!! This is an absolutely killer old time Colorado bertrandite with fantastic history as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
