Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely extraoridinary example of this rare beryllium species from Brazil!!! This specimen is a world-class example of the species!!!
This specimen consists of a complex cluster of intergrown compound blades of bertrandite!!! The crystals are razor sharp and glassy!!!
The largest compound crystal measures up to over 2cm!!! This specimen is pristine, undamaged, and displays magnificently!!! The pics simply don't
capture its delicate-looking beauty, but in person it looks like "a butterfly made of snowflakes" as one collector commented!!! This specimen
is from the personal collection of Robert Jenkins who lived for years in Brazil and was able to obtain the best of the best specimens for his personal collection!!!
This specimen was in the main display case of his collection and at eye level - no doubt a testement to its significance!!! Truly a world-class
bertrandite!!! This specimen came out of a one time find with a small group of other significant bertrandite specimens about 25 years ago and nothing even
close to this quality has been seen since!!! The pics don't even come close - you don't want to miss out on this one!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
