PLEASE NOTE: This is a special "Holiday Listing" and will be ending on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 28th
A rare, old time example of BLUE beryl from Madagascar!!! This is a group of four individual blue beryl specimens!!! While aquamarine specimens are quite common, actual BLUE beryls are quite rare indeed!!!
It is my understanding that these crystals owe their unique color to an unusual chemistry and will not fade as aquamarine can!!! From a
distance, these crystals almost looked like blue apatite at first, however they are most certainly beryl!!!
The individual crystals measure: 6.04cm x 2.16cm x 1.72cm, 4.03cm x 2.45cm x 2.25cm,
3.64cm x 3.14cm x 2.34cm, and 2.9cm x 1.5cm x 1.37cm, respectively!!! While three of the four specimens have the wildly intense blue color, one does not, yet
in person it is still clear that, although it is light in color, it possesses that unique "blueness" that is absent any other hue!!! The crystals
are sharp, lustrous, and have truly unique color!!! The thickest crystal appears to have numerous healed faces and curious crystalline features at its core!!!
This collection retains its original museum label and each specimen has an affixed catalogue number!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person
to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
