Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of betafite from Madagascar!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, partial crystal of tan colored betafite!!! The crystal has sharp faces with areas of marked luster!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum with Chase S. Osborn Collection notation!!! Although the label only notes the locality as Madagascar, it is almost certainly from Betafo District!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
