An unusual old time example of bisbeeite from Bisbee!!! Bisbeeite was a poorly described species no longer recognized by the IMA, so essentially this specimen
is a "mystery" specimen!!! This specimen consists of a darkly colored matrix that hosts a very pale bluish-white powdery coating in association with
an almost emerald green coating!!! A very interesting unknown from old time Bisbee material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label -
detailed information about both him and the collection are on our
"About Me" page - so be sure to check it out!!!
