Native Bismuth
Wolfram Camp, Dimbulah, Mareeba Shire, Tablelands Region, Queensland, Australia
4.4cm x 3.4cm x 2.25cm
Ex. Tony Nikischer Collection
Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of native bismuth from this classic Australian locale!!! This specimen consists of a large, crystalline mass of
bismuth with a minor coating of molybdenite on the outer surfaces!!! One side of this specimen shows brilliant, characteristic
cleavage faces with bright silvery metallic luster while the opposite side shows natural, broad faces that have a matte finish
and are partially coated with a thin layer of metallic molybdenite!!! This specimen is actually WAY better than the pics show!!!
Simply a terrific example of native bismuth from this classic locale!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of
Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen
PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming
days and weeks!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
