Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of native bismuth from this classic locality!!! This specimen hosts numerous metallic crystals of native bismuth in association with
chloanthite in a quartz matrix!!! What makes this specimen unique is that the bismuth crystals exhibit all manner of complex habits, including hoppered crystals - upon
close examination, one can see that each crystal is closely outlined by a tin white band of chloanthite!!! The specimen is much more rich and showy than
the pics show!!! This specimen retains a label from the Seaman Mineral Museum as well as an old affixed A.E. Foote label!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY NOVEMBER 11th!!!
