Bismuthinite Tazna Mine, Nor Chichas Province, Potosi Department, Bolivia 11.4cm x 3.5cm x 1.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An ABSOLUTELY EXTRAORDINARY example of this rare bismuth bearing species from Bolivia!!! This crystal is absolutely HUMUNGOUS for the species!!! This specimen was the largest single crystal from a small pocket that produced a small group of museum-worthy bismuthinite specimens!!! Usually bismuthinite crystals are quite small and are rare in and of themselves!!! Bismuthinite specimens of such size are extremely rare!!! This specimen consists of a group of intergrown crystals that have grayish metallic luster and striated faces!!! Although the crystals are not all complete, there are several terminations present and its sheer size makes it a specimen of significance regardless!!! There is a small, lone quartz crystal in association was well as a couple tiny pyrite crystals and some microcrystalline masses of jamesonite as well!!!
