Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of bismutotantalite from the type locality in Uganda!!! This specimen consists of a complex, single crystal of bismutotantalite!!! The crystal has well defined features and has areas of marked luster!!! Simply a fantastic example of this rare species!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
