Description/Interesting Notes: A rare and fantastic example of bixbyite from South Africa!!! This specimen is entirely comprised of intergrown crystals of sharply cubic, lustrous, jet-black bixbyite!!! The rich showing of sharp, lustrous crystals is quite striking in person - the crystals are much more prominent and showy than the pictures convey!!! Many of the crystals show complex striations on their faces as well!!! Simply a fantastic example of the species from South Africa!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
