Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare matrix example of boleite from Mexico!!! This specimen hosts a pair of intense royal blue boleite crystals prominently
perched on matrix!!! The boleite crystals are significantly sized with glassy luster, razor sharp faces, and rich blue color!!!
Aside for a very minor contact, the crystals are complete and pristine!!! This is an OLD specimen that originally came from the
collection of J.T. Reeder (1857-1937)!!! J.T. Reeder worked for the Osceola and Tamarack mines in Michigan and had assembled a world-class mineral
collection of minerals from the region which gradually exanded to North American and worldwide specimens!!! The donation of Reeder's
collection to the A.E. Seaman Museum was one of its most important acquisitions in terms of quality and significance!!! This specimen
retains labels from the Seaman museum with Reeder notation as well as affixed catalogue numbers!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 5th!!!
