Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific, old time example of this rare and colorful lead, silver, and copper bearing species from Mexico!!! This specimen
hosts numerous sharp, lustrous crystals of intense royal blue boleite set in a matrix of selenite and fine green
paratacamite crystals!!! Matrix examples of boleite are rare and they often consist of mud that has been "stabilized" in some way!!! This is a
TRUE matrix specimen with the entire specimen consisting of solid translucent selenite!!! The boleite crystals are
sharp and have particularly fine, glassy luster (the result of forming in selenite)!!! While some of the crystals may appear to be
incomplete or damaged, they are actually just complexities caused by intergrown selenite that is no longer present!!! This specimen is
in magnificent condition all around and is simply stunning upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope!!! The paratacamite crystals
are actualy quite well formed with small, lustrous, gemmy crystals being scattered about!!! The boleite crystals
range in size up to .4cm!!! This is OLD material that came out of old museum stock!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 5th!!!
