Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of boleite on matrix from Mexico!!! Usually, boleite specimens are encountered as loose crystals with matrix specimens being quite scarce!!! Typically matrix specimens are just "stabilized" clay as well!!! This old time specimen, however, is comprised of a mass of translucent selenite crystals that hosts a lively green coating of paratacamite and numerous intense royal blue boleite crystals!!! The boleite crystals are lustrous and exhibit marked clarity as well!!! The crystals exhibit complex cubo-octahedral habits as well!!! The specimen has the remnants of an old handwritten label on it as well!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
