Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare locality example of boracite from Westeregeln!!! This is a group of three individual crystals of boracite from this rare find dating to over
100 years ago!!! These specimens each come with their own individually numbered antique glass vials and an old Ward's label as well!!! The crystals
represent pristine and complete examples of the habits fount at this locality - with a sharp cubic crystal, pyramidal crystal, and complex cubo-octahedral crystal!!! The
cubic and pyramidal crystals are gem clear with glassy luster, while the cubo-octahedral crystal is translucent and complex!!! Most of the crystals
found here were very small indeed, less than one millimeter - these specimens are actually fantastic crystals for the locality!!! While boracite
crystals from other German localities are relatively common, these old Westeregeln specimens are next to impossible to obtain!!! The pics hardly do them justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
