Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely incredible, old time example of boracite from Germany!!! This specimen consists of a large single crystal of aquamarine-green boracite!!! Usually this species is encountered as tiny crystals a couple millimeters in size, however this specimen is huge at over 1.1cm!!! This specimen is complete and undamaged all around!!! The crystal exhibits a striking dodecahedral habit with glassy luster and gemmy clarity!!! Curiously, the crystal exhibits complexly etched features on each face - consisting of complex, shallow cavities - this unusual feature gives the specimen a very unique look and also seems to add to its lively internal play of light!!! This specimen has gorgeous aquamarine-greenish color and is very showy in person!!! This is a killer, old time boracite!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
