Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible example of bornite from Cornwall!!! This specimen consists of a large single crystal of bornite!!! This crystal exhibits highly complex form with a second, interpenetrant crystal!!! The crystal has striking, iridescent golden metallic luster with purple and magenta highlights!!! Upon close inspection, one can see complex growth features that almost look as though the specimen is covered in some kind of other-worldly metallic fabric!!! The overall crystal form is much sharper and more defined than the pics show!!! In person, the specimens euhedral nature is pronounced and quite handsome!!! The iridescent golden and purple patina is simply gorgeous!!! This is a killer example of the species indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
