Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of bornite from Kazakhstan!!! This specimen consists of a quartz crystal covered matrix that hosts a well-formed, undamaged crystal of bornite!!! Bornite is almost always encountered as a massive ore, however there are rare circumstances where it occurs as fine crystals!!! This crystal has complex faces with a somewhat metallic luster and measure in size to over 1.3cm!!! There are also several smaller crystals on the reverse as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
