Bournonite

Saint-Pons, Ubaye valley, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

3.44cm x 3.16cm x 1.75cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic example of bournonite from France!!! This specimen consists of a complex grouping of metallic bournonite crystals!!! The bournonite crystals are present as both complex "cog wheel" crystals and as highly complex crystalline forms that comprise the matrix!!! Upon close inspection, much of what appears to be simply massive bournonite or matrix is actually completely crystalline!!! There are also a few crystals included within the bournonite crystals that have a decidedly different hue and luster - which could possibly be other related species!!! There are also a few tiny siderite crystals tucked in a few nooks and crannies as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
