Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of bournonite from Cornwall!!! This specimen hosts numerous complex crystals of bournonite in association
with quartz points and calcite rhombs!!! The crystals have elongated habits and dark grayish color!!! There is also
a small amount of an unidentified acicular metallic species in association as well!!! Upon close inspection, one can see
some tiny inclusions of bournonite in the quartz crystals!!! This specimen was donated by Joe Cilen to
the "Sixth Rochester Mineralogical Symposium Auction," which took place on April 16, 1983 and the specimen
also retains a George & Susan Robinson Minerals label (dating between 1979 & 1982) as well!!! Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 22nd!!!
