Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique, old time example of bournonite with siderite and jamesonite from Austria!!! This specimen consists of a
cluster of highly complex bournonite crystals perched atop a matrix of tan, disc-like crystals of siderite with
tufts of fine jamesonite crystals tucked in recesses!!! The bournonite crystals exhibit unusual, highly complex
forms that are intricate and finely ridged with somewhat "rounded" networks of terminal faces!!! The crystals are
in fantastic condition and have metallic luster with a slightly iridescent hue in areas!!! Upon close
inspection, one can see areas of fine, hair-like crystals of jamesonite filling many small recesses between the bournonite
crystals and throughout the siderite crystals!!! This specimen retains an old Schortmann's label as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
