Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of bournonite with wurtzite and sphalerite from this classic locality!!! This specimen hosts clusters of
battle-ship gray bournonite in association with brown to orange translucent crystals of sphalerite and tiny, near black crystals of
wurtzite!!! The bournonite crystals exhibit complex habits and are present as intergrown clusters as well as broad, somewhat etched looking crystals
that blend into the matrix!!! The sphalerite crystals exhibit translucent to near gemmy crystals that range in color from dark brown to reddish orange!!!
The wurtzite crystals range in size to 1mm and are scattered across the specimen, particularly in the borders between bournonite and sphalerite crystals!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Classic material!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
Don't forget!!! THIS AUCTION WILL END ON *FRIDAY*, NOVEMBER 26, due to the upcoming U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
