Bournonite with Sphalerite Les Malines District, Saint-Laurent-le-Minier, Gard, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 8.4cm x 7.5cm x 4.76cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of this esteemed species from France!!! This specimen consists of a matrix covered with dark reddish brown sphalerite crystals that hosts several showy crystals of bournonite measuring up to an impressive 3.5cm!!! The bournonite crystals exhibit the characteristic "cog-wheel" habit with well defined "teeth"!!! The crystals are complete and undamaged!!! This specimen was difficult to photograph because the sphalerite crystals were so bright, however, in person there is more contrast between the bournonite crystals and sphalerite!!!
