Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of anorthite with inclusions of native brass from Japan!!! This specimen consists of a complex anorthite crystal in scoria!!! The lively internal red coloration is caused by microscopic inclusions of native brass!!! The anorthite has marked gemminess and glassy luster!!! The intense red color, combined with significant gemminess and a slight internal schiller has made faceted examples of this very rare material the source of legend among rare gemstone collectors!!!
