Description/Interesting Notes:
A rich and impressive, old time example of bromargyrite from this seldom referenced locale!!! This specimen hosts a
rich showing of yellow-greenish tan to grayish bromargyrite nearly covering the broad face of the specimen and
richly distributed throughout the matrix!!! The outer surface of the specimen has a characteristic almost waxy appearance and
upon close inspection one can see some small areas of crystalline forms!!! It appears that much of the yellowish material
is possibly silver halide material as well!!! This is a very rich silver ore indeed!!! This specimen
retains a very detailed museum label that notes this specimen was acquired from famed dealer/collector Allan Caplan on
June 16, 1938!!! Rich, old time silver ore specimens from this locale are quite scarce indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
