Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific, old time example of brucite from thie historic locale!!! This specimen consists of a
broad mass of brucite that exhibits numerous curious features!!! The broad face of this specimen
shows some striated features - giving it a pseudomorph like appearance!!! On one side one can see that this
thick vein of brucite hosts large, lustrous crystalline plates!!! There are several
other areas where platy crystals can be seen as well!!! The brucite shows areas of marked translucence and
color that ranges from light tan to a pale greenish hue!!! There is a lot more going
on with this specimen than it at first appears!!! This specimen retains an old museum label as well!!! Old material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
