Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic pair of rare buergerite tourmaline crystals from Mexico!!! Both crystals are sharp, lustrous, and doubly terminated with a small
amount of matrix in association!!! One crystal is dramatically compressed with a wide, highly complex termination that is quite fascinating, while the other
is a more characteristic single crystal!!! Both crystals exhibit the
characteristic unique brownish color that has a tiger's-eye-like internal irridescence to it!!!
Simply a fantastic example of the species indeed!!! These old type locality specimens came from a single group of
specimens recovered by a single miner and brought to Tucson in the 1960's - unfortunately the miner died before
revealing the exact location to anyone and it remains lost to this day!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
