Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely magnificent example of these two rare species from one of the most exciting finds of recent years!!!
These specimens were part of a very small find of truly exceptional "best of species" material from Inner Mongolia!!!
This specimen consists of a cluster of intergrown blades of green borcarite crystals that host a rich showing of complex,
colorless cahnite crystals!!! The borcarite crystals are present as doubly terminated blades with
glassy luster, and areas of lively green color and marked clarity!!! The borcarite crystals are sharp, range in size up to 1.4cm,
and in terrific condition!!! Cahnite was previously most famous from Franklin where the crystals were extremely rare and
highly sought after by collectors!!! This specimen is loaded with complex triangular crystals of cahnite
that measure up to 2mm!!! The cahnite crystals exhibit highly complex forms with numerous interpenetrant
triangular crystals that are
simply incredible upon close examination with a loupe or scope!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition all around and
displays stunningly in person!!! This is a magnificent example of both species and is just loaded with cahnite crystals!!! In
addition to the cahnite and borcarite, there is a small amount of a yellow unidentified species that is likely another rare species!!!
This is valuable specimen is WAY better than the pics show!!!
AMAZING rare material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
