Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific, old time example of calaverite with native tellurium from Colorado!!! While old time examples of telluride species from Cripple Creek
are well-known to collectors, examples of the telluride species from Jamestown are quite scarce by comparison!!! This specimen hosts numerous thin, prismatic
crystals of silvery native tellurium included within the matrix in association scattered grains of calaverite and a significant mass of
calaverite on one side of the specimen (located near the DM-3332 catalogue number)!!! In
addition to the calaverite and native tellurium, there are dense networks of curious, spheroidal groups of pyrite crystals that also host minute grains
of calaverite as well!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains an old label as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 27th!!!
