Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible example of this rare gold telluride from Fiji!!! This specimen hosts a rich display of
very finely crystallized calaverite on a matrix covered with tiny quartz crystals!!! This is a magnificent example of the species indeed!!!
The calaverite crystals are present as dense networks of fine, prismatic crystals strewn about the matrix!!! The crystals
are significantly sized and have bright, silvery metallic luster!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope one
can see well formed features characteristic of the species as well!!! There is much more crystalline material than
the pictures show as well!!! Not only is this an incredible example of the species from Fiji, this is a
rich significant piece of gold telluride ore as well!!! Rarely does one see calaverite in such presentation -
this is truly an incredible specimen!!! This is confirmed material and has an old affixed label with
very specific mine location information on it as well!!!
