Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of "sand calcite" from California!!! This specimen consists of two conjoined clusters of interpenetrant "sand calcite" crystals!!! The crystals resemble spikey balls similar to Willy Wonka's fabled "everlasting gobstoppers"!!! Examples of sand calcite from this locality are quite scarce indeed!!! This specimen is from the collection of Larry Krause and retains his label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
