Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible, old time example of twinned calcite from Mexico!!! These famed and highly sought after Santa Eulalia
twins were originally collected back in the 1940's!!! This specimen consists of a pair of prominently twinned,
scalenohedral calcite crystals that have dramatic, darkly colored hematite inclusions just under the surface and tiny calcite crystals selectively coating one
side!!! In addition, these impressive twinned crystals are further overgrown by a secondary growth of highly lustrous and complex, translucent
calcite!!! This is an outstanding, old time example of this rare and sought after calcite phenomenon!!! The twinned crystals are sharp and complete,
the secondary, highly complex calcite crystals are terminated and in fantastic condition (the flat tops are NOT cleavage faces)!!! This specimen
displays AMAZINGLY in person and is in magnificent condition (especially considering its age)!!! Don't miss out on this rare and valuable
beauty!!! This specimen is WAY better than these pics show (if you are familiar at all with these specimens you know exactly what I am talking about!)!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 15th!!!
