Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of this amazing combination from this famed district!!! This specimen hosts a group of calcite crystals that have been partially replaced by gympsum and melanterite, and are prominently perched on a showy matrix of sphalerite and chalcopyrite!!! These old pseudomorphic combos are quite scarce indeed!!! Upon close inspection one can see the individual crystals of gypsum and tiny crystals of melanterite (which are present both within and on the gypsum)!!! This specimen is absolutely amazing in person!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! A killer old time rarity!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
