Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of a calcite stalactite from Montana!!! This specimen consists of a richly colored, translucent reddish-orange calcite stalactite on a small amount of matrix!!! Upon close examination, you can see the surface is studded by microcrystalline calcite crystal faces!!! The stalactite has a wonderful translucent glow to it that is quite handsome in person!!! A small amount of this material came out for a brief time over 30 years ago and is seldom seen on the market today!!! This specimen is from the collection of Paul Lazar and retains his label as well (specimen collected by B. Ehrle)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
