A classic, old time example of calcite from this historic New Jersey locale!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of chunky calcite crystals
prominently perched on matrix!!! The crystals are present as sharp, juxtaposed rhombs!!! The main crystal has a lustrous face that exhibits
a pair of complex, slightly raised features on its surface!!! Upon close inspection there appears to be a slight phantom of a more scalenohedral habit
in the main crystal as well!!! Although there is some damage, this is OLD, classic material and still displays handsomely!!! This
specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains its original label with L.L. Hubbard (1849-1933) collection notation!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
