Pyrite pseudomorph after Calcite with Creedite

Santa Eulalia District, Mun. de Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, Mexico

9.5cm x 4.65cm x 4.16cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare and unique example of pyrite after calcite with creedite from Mexico!!! This unusual specimen consists of a cluster of elongated scalenohedral crystals of calcite that have been completely replaced by microcrystalline pyrite aesthetically paired with light purple creedite!!! The pyrite pseudomorphs appear to be partially coated with thin, smooth layer of unknown mineralization as well!!! The creedite crystals are razor-sharp, gemmy, and undamaged!!! The light lavender purple color is more apparent in person!!! This is rare old time Santa Eulalia material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 23rd!!!
