Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of caledonite and leadhillite from Tiger!!! This specimen consists of a showy, intensely colored cluster of
caledonite crystals paired with lustrous leadhillite crystals!!! The caledonite crystals have sharp, glassy faces, gemmy clarity, and choice intense color!!!
The leadhillite crystals have marked translucence with bright luster and an almost pearlescent quality!!! The caledonite crystals
range in size up to 5mm and the leadhillite measures up to 1cm!!! The caledonite is much more crystallized than the pics show!!! Simply a
fantastic combination of these two rare species from this famed locality!!! This specimen came from old material that came from the A.E. Seaman Museum - the
material had not been catalogued but was noted as coming from the German mineralogist B. Klose!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 5th!!!
